We offer highly affordable coaching rates and place high importance on maintaining Christian integrity and values while earning a college degree.

CollegeBuilder is a family-run business.  This is our story.

In 2005, our first child was finishing his last year of high school and we were frantically looking for what the next step would be for a higher education.  After twelve years of homeschooling our son, we could not encourage him to subject himself to school systems that rejected the God that we served and loved.

The financial burden of college was a secondary, but essential, part of our decision making process.  As a family of ten, we could not, (even after receiving two scholarships for our oldest son) afford the rising cost of college tuition, books, etc.   We praying and asking the Lord for an alternative; when we finally read a book about distance learning, it just made sense.  This is what we had been looking for: college without compromise of convictions or finances.

In 2006, our first son, Jonathan, successfully completed his first year of college through on-line classes and CLEP tests.  Just a short time later, our second son, David, began his college studies at home the same way.  Both Jonathan and David have graduated with BS degrees in Business and are currently enrolled in Oak Brook School of Law & Government Policy.

Still later, with her brothers’ encouragement, Katie, at age 17, graduated from high school having already earned 30 hours of college credit.  Katie is currently finishing her Associates degree in Business, through CLEP and Dantes testing, while staying at home.  Though Katie does not desire to pursue a career, she has found it challenging to pursue higher education in an area of study that could benefit a husband and family some day.

Inspired by older brothers and sister, Micah, at 14 years old, studied and successfully passed his first CLEP test, earning his first 3 hours of college credit!  Micah’s goal is to have his college degree by age 18, when he graduates from high school.

We cannot express how grateful we are that the Lord did not let us get discouraged and give up when we met a challenge concerning higher education.  He gave us an alternative way to achieve a credential necessary for many fields of work, namely a college degree; however, many more alternatives are available for the parent or student that refuses to compromise his/her convictions.

The purpose for starting this coaching service is to provide help and encouragement to others with a desire to reach a goal of higher education at an affordable cost.  We pray this service will equip you to be successful in reaching the goals the Lord has for your life.
